YOUR WAY  –  ANY YEAR

Here's how I make a calendar.
There are other ways,
but if you can't find what you want, try mine.
(This design uses Front Page but
may be adaptable to other apps)
Do not attempt the item in the promo picture.

This is not everyone's printable calendar,
although you can download and print a
2014 calendar from links below.

Printing your own calendar is not a money saving project but rather
a learning and design experience.

This is a diy project where you
design and print your own calendar.
You may need an official calendar to go by,
easily found elsewhere on the web.

With my design and your browser editor you can
change the color, shape, even add a picture.

Compile your calendar choosing from  7 types of layout
for each type of staggered date boxes,
month 1 begins on Saturday, it could have 28 to 31 days
and may need editing.

Color the non-calendar days a dark color
or if you want room for notes use a light color.
Print a picture upside down on the back of each month.

My pre-designed months are good for making ANY calendar.

Although designed to be printed in landscape aspect,
you can change to portrait or put a calendar and a picture
on the same sheet of paper but you must
reduce the size of each graphic element to fit the space.

My poem to help remember days in a month:
30 days has September, April, June and November,
except for February's 28 or 29, what fun, all the rest have 31.

For there to be a leap year, February with 29 days,
the year must be evenly divisible by 4.
Otherwise February has 28 days.  Leap years: 2012, 2016, 2020, 2024 etc.

see more details below (also just added 2014)

Types of layout: month 1 begins on Saturday, month 2 on Friday,
month 3 on Thursday, month 4 on Wednesday, month 5 on Tuesday,
month 6 on Monday, and month 7 on Sunday.

example month 5

Since i.e. January 2013 begins on Tuesday you will start with
month 5 and change the title area to January 2013.
You should be able to change styles of font, color, and spacing,
although
rectangles of more than h125 x w150 pixels
may not fit on a 8 1/2" x 11" paper size.

To print the final version or just make a test print
you have to publish or preview post.
Select print preview to edit, making sure the colors
are allowed to print and titles, page numbers are turned on
or empty as you prefer. Here are links to all 7 calendar types
and the day of the week each one begins:

2014 CALENDAR is Here

The only way to learn how to do this stuff is to
play around with it until it make sense.
(I'm still trying to get it right)

The pre-designed months are good for making ANY calendar.

example month 4

Since i.e. January 2014 begins on Wednesday
you will start with month 4 and change the title area to January 2014.

You should be able to change styles of font, color, and spacing, although rectangles of
more than h125 x w150  pixels may not fit on a 8 1/2" x 11" paper size.
