THE DEEP END OF THE BLOG

I had to get past the misspent pronouns,
"her and I", or how the generation
I took in and or gave up on, each one
turning a deaf ear to anything but
the youth cult word-up and hearsay
necessities spread by enterprising
wizards in management executive
offices overlooking the world from
high-rise tower windows, and by
the same token, its flipside, get past
the same generational panic ridden
flight from those necessities on out
to the cult of home-baked schooling
with an affinity for herbal wisdom
and handmade objects on display,
no two clods of countering clay.

The test will show who will fall into
rehab first or as the case precedes,
more often, those hooked on concerts,
movies, flash events and high-tech toys,
or the home-hugging staycationers.

At home you can stock up with all
the necessary doomsday supplies,
seeds for indoor food plants, (what
about bees, use cotton tip swabs?)
experiment with new bed, bath and
toileting facilities, and stack cans,
bottles, papers and magazines for
future building and farming projects.

In the end, however, it may all be in the
hands of the hungry and the well-armed.
Jobs? For those who have ever farmed.
